While we don't recommend adopting wild alligators for your average family, one man has found a pet gator that provides him with emotional support day to day and even helps him spread happiness throughout his community. In this case it's Wally, the 5' long emotional support alligator.
With the a lifespan in captivity that can run well over 70 years, Wally who is a 5 year old American alligator, is going to be around for quite some time. Eventually he'll need a new enclosure, he's expected to grow to at least 11.5 feet if not more.
Come join us any day of the week to see gators like Wally in the Jean Lafitte Swamp, we don't encourage gator hugs, but we'll get you almost as close!
